It is your anniversary today or tomorrow and nothing is arranged. Or it is arranged, and you want to do more than “a bouquet”. Either way, flowers are the fastest gift to fix, and one of the few that can still arrive in time. Here is how to choose in two minutes and what to check so the delivery happens today.
The short version
- Order before the cutoff: 1:00 pm Eastern Time Monday to Saturday, 11:00 am on Sunday. Every product page shows the time left today.
- Choose by the kind of relationship: red roses for romance, soft mixed colors for years together, a counted bouquet for a milestone.
- Decide where they go, home or office, and who will be there to take them.
- Write one specific sentence on the card.
- If you miss the cutoff, choose the next day as the delivery date and say so on the card.
Pick by situation
- A new relationship or a first anniversary. One Dozen Red Roses at $100. It is simple, unmistakable and needs no explanation.
- Married for years. Skip the textbook bouquet and send something that looks like them. Soft pink and cream suits many people better than deep red: Airy Watercolor at $101 is pink roses with alstroemerias. Or match the colors of your wedding flowers.
- A milestone: the 25th or the 50th. The count is the point. Silver is the traditional gift for 25 years, so 25 White Roses at $205 fits, and 50 Red and White Roses at $407 does the same for 50.
- Your parents’ anniversary. Send to their home and sign it from the kids. A bouquet that fills a normal vase is better than one that needs a new one.
- A friend or a couple you know. A mixed bouquet in one color family, smaller and without the romance signal that roses carry.

How many roses
These are conventions, not rules. No one is counting.
- 12, a dozen. The standard. It says “I love you” without commentary.
- 15 to 20. A fuller dozen, for when a dozen feels routine.
- 24. Often read as “every hour of the day”.
- 25. The silver anniversary.
- 50. The golden anniversary, and a bouquet that needs a wide, heavy vase.
- 100. A statement, and the top of what most homes can display.
Our anniversary flowers start at $75, and the romance collection has 50 more to pick from.
Getting them there today
The cutoff is real. Every bouquet is arranged by hand on the day it goes out, which is why the cutoff exists: 1:00 pm Eastern Time Monday to Saturday, 11:00 am on Sunday. Order before it and the same-day delivery covers Atlanta and the surrounding suburbs for a flat $12. Check your ZIP code on the delivery areas page if you are not sure it is inside.
Home or office? Home is right when you know somebody will be there to take the flowers. An office puts them on display, which some people love and some would rather avoid. If you cannot tell which your partner is, ask a friend or coworker.
After the cutoff. Choose the next day as the delivery date. Flowers a day late, with a card that admits it, beat pretending.

What to write on the card
One specific sentence beats three general ones.
- “Happy anniversary. Still the best decision I made.”
- “Twelve roses for twelve years. Dinner is at seven.”
- “Thank you for the last 25 years, and for putting up with the last 25 of me.”
- “I am sorry this is a day late. It is no less true.”
The mistakes to avoid
- Assuming same-day after the cutoff. A common one. If it is 2:30 pm, you are ordering for tomorrow.
- Sending to an office when your partner works from home. Or the reverse. Check where they will be.
- Buying the standard bouquet because it is standard. Think about what they like, not what the category suggests.
- No card. A bouquet with no message reads as an errand. One sentence fixes it.
- Wrong size for the home. A hundred roses is lovely and needs more vase than most households own.
Three situations
It is 11:30 am and you forgot. You have ninety minutes. Pick a dozen red roses or the closest match to their taste, write the card, and place the order before 1:00 pm.
You want a surprise at work. Order for the morning, send to the office, and warn a coworker so the delivery does not get turned away at reception.
The anniversary is tomorrow. Order today and choose tomorrow as the delivery date. You do not have to wait until the day itself.
Questions people ask
What flowers are best for an anniversary?
Roses for romance and for milestones. For long marriages, a mixed bouquet in their favorite colors often says more than a dozen red roses.
Can I order for a future date?
Yes. Choose the delivery date at checkout.
How much should I spend?
Whatever suits you. Most of our anniversary bouquets fall between $90 and $210, and a dozen roses is $100.
What if I do not know their favorite flower?
Roses in a color they wear or decorate with are a safe guess. A friend or family member will know.
